On my journey to look for a sweater pattern on Ravelry, I realized that there are like three that were knit flat, really easy, super bulky and a drop sleeve gansey. So you know what I do? I go and read as many sweater patterns as I can and decide "I am going to make one myself!" So without farther ado... The Journey to The Super Simple Sweater Pattern!
2/11/2020: I have ordered a bunch of circular needles from Amazon for $4.00 so we'll see how those are. I'll do a review when I get them. I don't think I can cast all the stitches I need onto straight needles so I'm gonna work flat on circulars. I'll put the link to them at the bottom.
I'm going to do some math. I knit a swatch on some size 13s and I figured out my gauge is 2st per 1in. I measured around the widest part of my chest and came out with 45" but I want it to be loose so I'm going to say 48". Now I'm going to divide that by two and then multiply that number by two because that's my gauge per in but all this was not necessary because I end up with 48. That's how many stitches I need to cast on for both the front and the back. I think that's all I can do for now so I will see ya'll when I get those needles in a couple of days.
2/13/2020: So I got the needles. There are like a lot a lot in there. They smell very strongly of like brand new floaty tubes. They are very flexible and they're all like 36". They range from US size 0 to US size 15. Honestly an amazing deal for $4. I think I'm gonna knit it in garter stitch. So I started to cast on and my yarn was getting snagged!! I'm gonna put a layer of clear nail polish over it. Well you get what you pay for I guess. Well I'll see you guys when I actually can start knitting.
